Software development services look identical on every agency's website until you actually try to hire one. What sets us apart is the discipline of how we work: fixed-price scoping before a line of code is written, senior engineers on every project (no juniors billed as seniors), weekly demos of working software instead of status-report theater, and full code and infrastructure ownership handed to you at the end of every engagement. We default to a modern, well-supported stack — TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, Postgres, and Vercel for web; React Native or native Swift/Kotlin for mobile; Python and the OpenAI or Anthropic APIs for AI features — because those tools have the strongest talent market and the longest maintenance runway. But we are not dogmatic: when Go, Elixir, Rust, or a specific managed service is the right answer, we use it and explain why in writing. Every decision we make during a project becomes an Architecture Decision Record you can reference in year three, long after we are gone.

Fixed-price contracts are the default for any engagement under $150k. We invest up-front time in discovery — typically one to two weeks — then deliver a written scope with milestones, deliverables, and a capped or fixed budget. You know what you are buying before we start. For larger, longer, or more ambiguous work, we move to time-and-materials with a weekly cap so there are still no surprises. Billing is transparent, itemized, and paired with a short written summary of what shipped each week.

We sit in a normal North American workday with Slack responses the same day during working hours, a shared Linear board you can watch in real time, and live preview URLs updated on every push. Every two weeks you get a 15-minute demo of working software plus a short written status covering what shipped, what is in flight, and what risks we are watching. No black-box delivery, no surprise invoices, no ambiguity about what the next two weeks will produce.

You own everything we build. The GitHub repository lives under your organization. Hosting accounts, domains, vendor accounts, and credentials are provisioned in your name. We document every password, service, and integration in a runbook you keep forever. On the day an engagement ends, you can revoke our access in fifteen minutes and continue operating the software with any competent React or Next.js engineer. No lock-in, no proprietary framework to lift out, no hostage situation.

Security and compliance are built in from the first sprint. We default to TLS everywhere, secrets in a proper vault, OWASP Top-10 checks in CI, dependency vulnerability scanning, audit logging on sensitive routes, and least-privilege access in every cloud account. For regulated industries we build to the applicable standard — HIPAA with BAAs and encryption at rest, SOC 2 readiness with controls and audit trails, GDPR with consent and data export, PCI-DSS with tokenization — and we document the control evidence your auditor will need.
